Mechanical Engineering 103

Product Realization: Design and Making

This course provided me with a deeper understanding of key fabrication processes essential to my work as a designer and engineer. During the first half of the course, I participated in structured lab sessions where I learned to operate the lathe, mill, and metal-forming equipment, as well as perform welding processes. These foundational skills culminated in the creation of functional projects, including a toolbox and a hammer. In the second half of the course, I am applying these skills to a final project, designing and fabricating a unique wall-mounted clothing rack and hangers that address common issues such as swinging and breakage in traditional hanger designs.
